91自拍 CC students now have guaranteed admission to WCU

On Friday, Dec. 8, Western Carolina University Chancellor Kelli R. Brown and Tracy Mancini, president of 91自拍, virtually signed a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions that guarantees admission to WCU for all 91自拍 graduates who satisfy certain requirements.
The memorandum will offer a direct pathway for students at 91自拍 to earn their four-year degree at WCU.
鈥淲estern Carolina University is proud to partner with 91自拍 in streamlining the pathway for transfer students to further their education at WCU,鈥� Brown said. 鈥淚 am a proud community college graduate and I understand the importance of opportunities such as this that give students access to a high-quality education at a four-year institution.”
Mancini is excited for the opportunities 91自拍 graduates will have at WCU.
鈥淭he NC Promise tuition of $500 per semester at Western Carolina University makes high-quality degree completion for our associate degree graduates very affordable,鈥� Mancini said. 鈥淚 have visited WCU鈥檚 campus in the last year and am impressed with their investment in STEM and public safety programs, as well as their overall commitment to teaching and learning excellence.聽We look forward to hearing that some of our students go from 91自拍 to being Catamounts.鈥�
Students who are interested in participating must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be a currently enrolled student at 91自拍 CC in a degree-seeking capacity
- Submit WCU application for admission and records by WCU deadlines
- Submit application fee or waiver and fulfill all commitment action steps
- Be in good standing at 91自拍 and other institutions attended
- Demonstrate good citizenship and conduct
- Earn and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 at 91自拍 and a minimum GPA of 2.20 in their most recent term
- Earn an associate鈥檚 degree from 91自拍 in a college transfer program or in an applied program for which an articulation agreement exists
- Enroll at WCU within one academic year (within the next two regular terms [fall/spring semesters] of completion of the associate鈥檚 degree)
