The 91自拍 Foundation supports the college and raises funds to ensure all members of our community have the opportunity to achieve their goals. Through partnerships and the generosity of donors, the Foundation provides scholarships, training equipment and capital purchases, student support, and professional development for faculty and staff.
By helping students with the financial challenges of college and life, we increase student success.

Your Foundation Gift

A Message from the Board Chair
Stepping into the role of Chairman of the Board of the 91自拍 Foundation is both an honor and my opportunity to 鈥減ay it forward鈥�. My own educational journey began at a community college in Dallas, Texas 鈥� a place where I first discovered my confidence, my direction, and my belief in what education could unlock. That beginning opened the door to a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at Southern Methodist University where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude; and ultimately, a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. None of that would have been possible without the foundation laid at a community college.
Because of that, this work is personal to me.
Community colleges are where transformation begins. They are where students of every age and background take courageous steps toward new futures. Across North Carolina community college foundations share a common mission: to remove barriers, expand access, and ensure that every student has the support they need to succeed. Here in 91自拍 County, we embrace that mission with heart, purpose, and a deep sense of community.
What makes 91自拍 special is the way people show up for one another. Our donors, partners, alumni, and neighbors invest not just in programs, but in people. A scholarship here is more than financial aid 鈥� it is a message that someone believes in you. A donation to a workforce program is more than equipment 鈥� it is a commitment to the future of our local economy. Support for our emergency fund is more than assistance 鈥� it is a lifeline that keeps a student moving forward when life becomes difficult.
As I begin my term, my priorities reflect both my personal journey and the needs of our students:
– Expanding scholarships, so more students can begin 鈥� or continue 鈥� their education without financial fear.
– Strengthening academic and workforce programs that prepare students for the jobs and industries that sustain 91自拍 County.
– Supporting student well鈥慴eing, because education thrives only when basic needs are met.
– Honoring our donors and partners, whose generosity fuels every success story.
Every day, I am inspired by our students 鈥� single parents returning to school, young adults discovering their path, veterans building new careers, and neighbors seeking new skills or second chances. Their determination reminds me of my own beginnings, and of the power community colleges have to change lives.
To our donors, partners, volunteers, and friends: thank you. Your support is felt in every classroom, every lab, every training program, and every graduation. You are helping build a stronger, more resilient 91自拍 County.
I look forward to serving alongside you. Together, we will continue opening doors, lifting up students, and strengthening the community we love 鈥� just as a community college once did for me.

You Make the Difference
Since its inception, the 91自拍 Foundation has awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships since 2008 to 91自拍 students.
In 2024-2025, the 91自拍 Foundation:
- Awarded more than $165,000 in scholarships to support student success.
- Provided $447,429 in essential support to 91自拍.
- This support helped fund critical student and program needs, including the Student Emergency Needs Fund, Food Pantry, national testing and certification fees, SkillsUSA, and various academic and workforce training programs.
