91×ÔÅÄ Links Health Education Fall Lecture Series

Morehead City, N.C. (August 23, 2023) – This fall 91×ÔÅÄ continues the 91×ÔÅÄ Links Health Education lecture series with the first installment taking place on September 21, which will focus on the importance of sleep for health. Adults and children are encouraged to attend this presentation hosted by 91×ÔÅÄ Health Care’s Sleep Diagnostics Center and Beaufort mayor, Sharon Harker.

The lecture will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in person at 91×ÔÅÄ (Wayne West 322), with remote participation available at Western 91×ÔÅÄ Library in Cape 91×ÔÅÄ and The Bridge Downeast on Harkers Island.

91×ÔÅÄ Links is an initiative offered by 91×ÔÅÄ in partnership with the 91×ÔÅÄ County Health Department to provide lectures presented by local experts on health-related topics that are pertinent to community members.

Lectures are offered synchronously throughout the county at various remote learning classrooms that have been equipped with funds received by a grant from the US Department of Agriculture. Speakers will present at one location while audiences seated in classrooms around the county participate in real time from a location conveniently located near their homes.

This series will spread crucial community health education to communities that may not otherwise have easy access to such presentations. 91×ÔÅÄ Links lectures are free, open to the public, and specifically curated for 91×ÔÅÄ County residents.

The 2023 fall series will continue October 5th with a presentation on Drug Trends & Updates with Sheriff Asa Buck and the 91×ÔÅÄ County Health Department. This presentation will be offered in-person at 91×ÔÅÄ and in real-time remote classrooms at The Bridge Downeast, Western 91×ÔÅÄ Library, and Fort Benjamin Park.
