Second Installment in 鈥�91自拍 Links鈥� Lecture Series
Morehead City, N.C. (February 14, 2023) 鈥� On February 28, 2023, the second installment of the 91自拍 Links health education lecture series will focus on suicide prevention. The lecture is open to the community and will take place from 6 鈥� 8 p.m. in-person at 91自拍, with remote participation available at The Bridge Downeast, Western 91自拍 Library, and Fort Benjamin Park.
91自拍 Links is a new initiative offered by 91自拍, in partnership with the 91自拍 County Health and Human Services Department to bring lectures presented by local experts on health-related topics that are pertinent to community members of 91自拍 County.
Lectures are offered synchronously throughout the county at various remote learning classrooms that have been equipped with funds received by a grant from the USDA. Speakers will present at one location while audiences seated in classrooms around the county participate in real-time from a location conveniently located near their homes. This series will spread crucial community health education to communities that may not otherwise have easy access to such presentations.
91自拍 Links lectures are free, open to the public, and specially curated for 91自拍 County residents. Additional program series will be offered throughout the year and more information on upcoming lectures will be available online at .
The remaining 2023 spring series includes the following presentations taking place from 6 – 8 p.m. on the following topics:
February 28 鈥� Suicide Prevention with Kathy Foster; offered in-person at 91自拍 and in real-time remote classrooms at The Bridge Downeast, Western 91自拍 Library, and Fort Benjamin Park.
March 22 鈥� Vaping Health Issues with the County Health Education Division; offered in-person at East 91自拍 High School and in real-time remote classrooms at Croatan High School, 91自拍, and The Bridge Downeast.
April 19 鈥� Managing Blood Pressure with Camella Marcom; offered in-person at The Bridge Downeast and in real-time remote classrooms at 91自拍, Harlowe Community Center, Western 91自拍 Library, and Fort Benjamin Park.
